ABOUT

ABOUT

Orchard Lodge and Orchard Meadow CL sites are run by Peter and Julie. We are club members and strive to ensure that the sites provide everything required for a family break.  We warmly welcome all members' caravans and motorhomes
Only members of the Caravan Club can stay on the site and we are limited to five units on each site at any one time.

Our sites are both dog free areas, so no dogs are permitted on our sites.

Orchard CL sites are located within a 10 acre small holding about half a mile from the charming Cotswold village of Bibury. The sites are flat with a choice of hard standings or lawned pitches. All pitches have access to electrical hook ups and have their own water tap and all have room for awnings.

The site is an excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds. It is about 6 miles from Cirencester, 7 from Chedworth Roman Villa, 10 from Burford, 11 from Cotswold Water Park, 12 from Bourton-on-the-Water,

18 from Cotswold Farm Park (Adam's Farm), 20 from Cheltenham and 21 from Westonbirt Arboretum.

After a short walk on a quiet road there are a variety of footpaths which can be followed allowing circular walks from 2 miles upwards through beautiful Cotswold countryside and villages.

The sites are secluded being sheltered by hedges and trees with an open aspect over our paddocks. Sheep roam freely between the paddocks.

Recycling facilities are provided.

There is a bus stop 500 yards from the site with 4 buses a day into Cirencester and 4 buses back.

The Catherine Wheel pub serves excellent food at a reasonable price and is 0.75 mile away. Also serving food in Bibury are the Swan Hotel and the William Morris Tea Room.

Basic provisions (eg. papers, bread, milk) can be obtained from the Trout Farm which also serves teas and snacks. There is also a Post Office and gift shop and a coffee shop. In Cirencester there is a full range of shops including 2 Tesco's, a Waitrose, Co-op, Aldi and Lidl supermarkets.

SEE & DO

PLACES TO VISIT

The Cotswolds is richly rural: with over 3,000 miles of footpaths and bridleways to explore; ancient woodlands and wildflower meadows. This wonderful landscape provides a sumptuous harvest of local produce, with cheeses, meats and drinks appearing prominently on the menus of the old inns, colourful cafes, gastro pubs and fine dining restaurants scattered generously across the region.

One of the pleasures of visiting the Cotswolds is exploring the different areas, each with its own identity, yet all quintessentially English villages of honey-coloured stone.

There’s a vibrant buzz in places like Cheltenham, Cirencester, and Witney. As well as an arty heartbeat too – this includes the wealth of festivals that are testament to the artistic vibe of the region.
